It has been an epoch from the influential exhibition of Kuba Dąbrowski in Zachęta that grounded his position as one of the most important contemporary Polish photographers. "Pożar/Fire" is the new photobook of Kuba with his personal pictures that cover both the mood of "democratic fire" in Europe last years and the undefined and photographically unexplored period of life between 30 and 40.
Kuba Dąbrowski is well-know for his "transparent photography" and the book itself needed "transparent design". The design includes no typography but handwritten notes by Kuba himself and the only element that was actually designed is the layout of the book and order of photographs and spreads.
